I’ve been training people for 25 years and counting. During this time, I have been super lucky and blessed to work with some of the most successful and influential humans on the planet.  I have also worked with normal humans too. It’s always an honor and a privilege when someone entrusts me to help them so I’m not judging anyone here but there is a difference between those who achieve and those that fall short.

In this post, I will cover a single difference.  This one difference is not genetic. It is a choice. This means that anyone can do this.  It is a distinction. It is a belief. It is a change of focus.  It is viewing the world through a different lens.

Why Do You Train? Why Do You Eat Healthy?  Why Do You Meditate? 

The reason you do something determines its outcome. For example, most people who fail to stick to exercise and a healthy diet are doing it because they don’t like themselves.  They don’t believe they are good enough so they have to change.  “If I can look like this or I can weigh this amount then I will be happy.”   

In my experience of helping thousands of humans, this leads to failure.  Even if the person, achieves the goal they have reinforced the belief that they are only good enough if they look a certain way.  I won’t go too far down this road but I can promise you it leads to suffering.

Rather than focus on the problem let’s focus on a better way. 

Here’s what I believe.  I believe you have nothing to prove to anyone.  I believe you are worthy and good. I believe you are the creator of your life.  You are not a victim, you are a creator, a leader, a LION.  Knowing that, you decide how you want your life to be.  You can learn anything. You can do anything. Life may be challenging but every problem has a solution. Challenges are opportunities.  If you want a different body or a better job or anything then do what you need to do to get it.  If you have a heart beat and the desire and discipline then you can improve your life circumstance. That is a fact.

But Why Do Some Fail and Others Thrive? 

I don’t know your situation. I don’t know your story but I can assure you there are humans who have had it way tougher and way worse – some downright traumatizing to even hear.

I am certain your life has had it’s challenges but you have a choice.  You can choose the life of a victim or the life of a creator, a leader, a warrior, a lover, a LION!  It is a decision.  It is way easier to just roll over and tell everyone how hard your life is and how nothing ever goes your way.  It requires immense courage to take the path of the creator, the leader, the Lion.  It’s totally up to you.  I’m not here to decide for you or tell you what to do. It is always your choice.

If you choose the path less traveled then there is only one True Purpose for Daily Training, Nutrition and Mental  Conditioning and Spiritual Practice.

The True Purpose of Daily Training and Nutrition and Meditation is to connect to the Best Version of You – the Higher Self, The Lion, The Creator, The Heart-Driven Leader, the REAL YOU!

All of my clients know this and I have them do some unique strategies during their training sessions. I’ll share those on another day.  They are of no use unless you first understand the importance of connecting to your True Self.

When you take time each day to connect to this part of your psyche, you will program it.  You just wake up that way. Over time, you are always “ON” and “In The Zone” and in “The FLOW”.  From this place, life is easy.  Things go your way, It’s fun.  If you have never experienced this then I know how crazy this sounds. When I first heard this I thought it was a bit out there.  However, I learned it from someone who is massively successful and helps a lot of people and loves life.  That was enough for me to give it my best. I had nothing to lose and neither do you.

So what are you going to do? Follow the sheep? Or Lead?

Jerry Seinfeld Secret to Success

The comedic genius and actor Jerry Seinfeld, 66 years of age, was recently interviewed on the Tim Ferriss podcast. He revealed that weight training, interval cardio and meditation are the cornerstones to his success. He also mentioned this gold nugget of wisdom “JUST WORK.”

In his words, :”Exercise, weight training, and transcendental meditation, could solve just about anyone’s life. I don’t care what you do, with weight training and meditation, I think your body needs that stress, that stressor.

And I think it builds the resilience of the nervous system, and I think meditation is the absolutely ultimate work tool.

I think stress reduction is great, but it’s more the energy recovery and the concentration and fatigue solution, which of course, as a standup comic, I can tell you, my entire life is concentration fatigue.

Whether it’s writing or performing, my brain and my body, which is the same thing, are constantly hitting the wall.  And if you have that (exercise and meditation) in your hip pocket, you’re Columbus with a compass.”
