Lions & Lionesses,

Stories have been used for thousands of years to pass along important lessons from one generation to the next.  There is one lesson that doesn’t get taught much anymore yet it is a game changer.  Here is a story that shares this wisdom:

An old Cherokee Chief teaching his grandson about…

“A fight is going on inside me.” he said to the boy. “it is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.”

One is evil, she/he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.

The other wolf is good, he/she is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The same fight is going on inside of you and inside every other human too.”

The grandson then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

The wise, old chief simply replied “The one you feed.”

We all have two versions of ourselves: the lil angel and the lil devil.

We have all seen cartoons like the one above playing out these conversations in our head. But which one do you feed?  Do you consciously call upon your Best Self or is your default that lil self-destructive devil?

How can you tell?  Emotions are the indicator.  Negative emotions are fear-based.  Positive emotions are Love-based.  Fear is the opposite of Love.  So if you are experience anger then you are operating from that lil’ devil.  If you are experiencing gratitude then you are operation from your High Self, Best Self, the Angel.  This is your True Self – The REAL YOU! Remember that.  When you know that your True Identity and nature is goodness, love, courage, strength, joy, gratitude, and all the good stuff then you let go of all of the judgement and self-criticism (the lil devil).

What would your life be like if you lived in a perpetual state of Love-Based Emotions?

No one is always in a positive emotional state but what if it was your default.  When something goes wrong instead of getting angry or beating yourself up, you choose to let go of the problem and focus on the solution.

I have trained a lot of humans and the ones you crush it in life and enjoy the ride always have this trait.  They are not perfect but they know when they are “on” and have ways of getting there when they are “off”.

This may be the single greatest skill any human can develop.  I encourage you to make it a priority.  It drives all action and inaction.

Let me leave you with something to ponder.

Thoughts/words=Feelings=Decisions=Actions/inactions=Life

Your Thoughts and Words create your feelings.

The way you feel causes you to make specific decisions.

All of those decisions lead to your actions and inactions.

And all of those actions and inactions create your LIFE.

What does this mean?

This means you are 100% responsibility for everything in your life and that you are the creator of your life. This is a belief of the most successful and happy humans on the planet earth. With this belief, anything is possible. Without it everything is impossible.  You are a Lion, not a lamb.

You are greater than any challenge that stands before you.

Onward,
